Dear CT, Thanks for your reply. We have the facts on Edward Ralph born 16/11/1690 Helston, father Edward, and the burial 12/5/1692 Helston, son of Edward.
This Edward Ralph married William Ton about 1677-81 in Wendron. They fathered a James Ralfe 24/2/1683 Helston (death date 1684.) William or Wilmot or Wellmet Ralph's burial is 10/5/1731 as is her husband Edward 6/4/1734 ,both Helston. Edward Raph,Raff,Ralph married Anora Adams and had Henry 1677 and an Edward 1687 St Anthony in Meneage so a different Edward line to the Helson one. You are right it is guesswork however it does fit possibly as all Edwards are accounted for if we put the one buried in 1737 Marazion, age about 83 as being the father of Henry born 1677 and Edward 1687 St Anthony in Meneage. Of interest is the name Stephen one of Edward Ralph and Mary Tonkin's children of St Erth does continue to this day in our line. As you say ,just an opinion? Kind Regards Chris.

Dear CT, Of interest I found a 99 year lease on the Cornwall Catalogue RH/5/2/1/2 under Margaret Ralphs of Marazion widow, dated 22/Aug/1740 Pengersick Manor with Pascoe as the landholder. This is Henry's widow as 2 of their daughters Margaret and Faith are listed on the lease. This would fit as Henry and Margaret's son Richard married Catherine Christiana Bettisworth from Germoe in 1736 ,daughter of John Bettisworth the surgeon in Germoe. Regards Chris.
