Time to attack my Quick Problem No. 3 which involves two men named Robert Quick who each married a girl named Catherine.
To try and save some confusion I will outline the details of each in a separate posting.
Robert Quick (bp. 1799) m. Catherine Stevens 13th October 1828 at Zennor
Robert Quick (bp. 1796) m. Catherine Trewhella 20th March 1822 at Towednack
From 1828 through until 1840 there were children being baptised to each of these two families thus creating some confusion but I have now managed to separate the two thanks to data from the 1841 and 1851 Census records.
Robert Quick bp. 28th April 1799 at Towednack
Parents:- William QUICK m. Elizabeth HOLLOW 15th May 1787 at Towednack
Robert was a farmer and died at Trevessa, Towednack 9th December 1879.
He was buried at Towednack 15th December 1879 at the age of 80.
His wife Catherine (Stevens) was baptised at St Ives 22nd October 1805 d/o John and Jane (both Stevens).
John Stevens left a Will at Phillack in 1853 in which he named his daughter as Catherine Quick.
Catherine was buried at Towednack 12th February 1872.
Robert and Catherine were the grandparents of SIR JOHN QUICK one of the founders of Federation in Australia.
Children:-

Mary Jane KITCHEN
(Two daughters and one son, John Kitchen Quick who died in Cairo in 1915 of pneumonia at the age of 26.)
ELIZA ANN
bp. 2nd April 1847 at Towednack
EMILY
born about 1848 at Towednack
Robert, William, Eliza Ann and Emily are my main problems with this family.
In the 1841 Census Robert and Catherine were at Treveal, Zennor, with children John, Catherine, Robert, William, Jane and Matthew.
In 1851 (except for John) all children, with the addition of Eliza Ann and Emily, are with the parents at Trevessa, Towednack.
By 1861 Robert and William have disappeared and I have so far been unable to find any trace of them.
The OPC has no record of a burial for either of them and I can find no marriage and no further trace in the Census.
I have also checked the Victorian records with no result.
In 1871 and 1881 Eliza Ann and Emily are living with their brother Matthew but thereafter I can find no trace of them either.
If someone is able to shed some light what happened to these four it would be most appreciated.
To try and save some confusion I will outline the details of each in a separate posting.
