Ouch, my brain hurts! The Quick family is starting to do my brain in! Bad enough that they were prolific breeders, they all had the same names (James, Paul, Israel, Mary, Wilmot, etc) and that every second one married a cousin of some sort. Now it seems that they couldn't even be consistent. You would think that if two siblings were going to marry cousins they would pick them from the same branch of the family, not two completely separate and distant branches. I had best start with Gandolf (and give you some more work also ) You are so right CT. ;D. Thanks to your corrected information, I am spending lots of time tearing out and moving around large chunks of the Quick family that I thought I had previously sorted out. Thanks also for the corrections straightening out the various Israel Quicks, especially the two that married Catherines. I wasn't aware of the other one, not having pulled out every Quick related event (was only following those that seemed relevant to what I was looking at).

I had no trouble discounting this particular Ann from the equation. She was baptised 27th December 1731 at St Ives daughter of Francis QUICK and Ann (nee MICHELL). The marriage was witnessed by Francis QUICK. Knew you would have had good reason, just curious and now you have scratched that itch.

And now you have an idea what I went through over the years. ;D And I had them all nicely tucked away for a good long sleep until I was ready to have another crack at them and what happens a certain party from shores not a long way distant from our own and whose initials are 'Lannanta' went and dug them up again. Mind you he has supplied me quite a welcome panacea. ;D And I thank him very much for that. As for Ann Quick - yep, I generally try to have a good reason for my conclusions even though they may be occasionally proved wrong. But that's what the game's all about and I love it.

However, the Christian NOALL bp. 1795 must belong to widow Elizabeth QUICK as the other child baptised that year was John BEVANS NOALL - he is clearly the son of the 1791 marriage to Elizabeth BEVANS. The line-up of children to Thomas NOALL and Elizabeth QUICK 25th February 1781 unnamed male 7th July 1782 Elisabeth 12th April 1784 Mary 26th December 1785 Alexander 27th May 1787 William 31st January 1790 James 26th February 1792 William OR 23rd October 1792 Thomas25th May 1795 Christian I think the remaining children baptised after 1791 all belong to the second marriage. To me - everything is pointing to Elizabeth being the widow of Paul and also daughter of Andrew and Honor. Your thoughts please. ~ The two mentioned in above. William baptised 26 FEB 1792 was actually born on 26 Oct 1791 so that would place him with Thomas NOALL & Mary QUICK. It would also make Elizabeth QUICK about 41 to 42 when she had Christian. Not unheard of I suppose.
