OK, I am officially confused (yet again! ;D)
I was double checking some information on Richard Quick, husband of Elizabeth Daniel, who I thought I had nicely tucked away and have now found something that has me wondering if I am right.
Hoping that one of our resident Quick experts can confirm one way or the other for me.
In various threads this year we have discussed the family of Paul Quick (1744 - bef. 1780, son of James Quick and Mary Curnow) who married his 2nd cousin once removed Elizabeth Quick (1753 - 1829, daughter of Andrew Quick & Honor Thomas). First son Paul was mentioned as probably dying young since no real evidence of him latter on. However, second son Richard was not mentioned at the time.
We also covered the fact that the widowed Elizabeth Quick married Thomas Noall and had a further tribe of children.
Another thread covered the fact that Elizabeth Quick, wife of William Williams Quick was the daughter of Richard Quick and Elizabeth Daniel.
My problem is the following quote:
Paul was bapt. 6th. feb. 1803 at St.Ives.
He was the son of Richard and Elizabeth.
Richard Quick married Elizabeth Daniel 16th. aug.1798 at St.Ives.
Richard was bapt.20th. sept.1772 at St.Ives.
He was the son of Richard Quick and Honour Jenkin.
They married 8th apr. 1770 at St.Ives.
This should help to give you a decent start.

While I have no problem with the marriage of Richard Quick to Honor Jenkyn in 1770 and the fact that they had a son Richard, I don't believe son Richard is the husband of Elizabeth Daniel. I had placed Elizabeth's husband as the son of Richard Quick and Elizabeth Quick as highlighted above. (I have since found other researchers who have done the same although based on what I cannot say)
My main reason for placing Elizabeth Daniel's husband as Richard son of Richard Quick and Elizabeth Quick is the name of Richard & Elizabeth (Daniel) Quick's youngest son - Billy Noall Quick
My feeling is that the Noall name must come from Richard's step-father Thomas Noall.
The Noall name seems unlikely to have come from Elizabeth Daniel's family - her parents being William Daniels & Elizabeth Stevens.
Similarly, if Elizabeth's husband was the son of Richard & Honour, then you would expect to see the name Honour used somewhere in the children or grandchildren - but it doesn't appear at all.
So the only obvious explanation for Billy Noall Quick's middle name is his step-grandfather Thomas Noall. And this makes sense given Thomas Noall was the only real father that Richard Quick (son of Richard & Elizabeth) would have known since his own father died when he was only a couple of years old.
So, can one of the other Quick experts confirm my thoughts - or perhaps shoot them down in flames. ;D

So you need a marriage for Paul Quick to an Alice about 1829.
Paul was bapt. 6th. feb. 1803 at St.Ives.
