Does anyone know if these have been transcribed anywhere? I am chasing a burial of a member of a Towednack family sometime inthe period 1830-1833 inclusive. Could not find the ssame in the PR.

Rick's West Penwith Site has this for the Towednack BTs for the time period you need:
BTs (Exeter) 1597–1674, 1737–40, 1773–1837, 1840, 1842–56 DRO.
I know that CRO is the Cornwall Records Office, so I am assuming that DRO is the Devon Records office (unless it is a typo).

DRO is almost certainly Devon Record Office but that is a little 'beside the point' here I think. Trencrom - please pass on to me the information you require and I will see what I can do. e.g. - the name of the person you are looking for and, possibly more importantly, the name of the Towednack family involved. This, plus any further helpful details you may be able to supply might just help me find who you are looking for. You must remember that a lot of Cornish people were well 'on the move' by this time although the 'exodus' became greater later on. If you cannot find the person you are looking for in the PR's of the 1830-33 period I would be suggesting that this person may well have been in parts where the BT's would not help. Please - give me details of this person and I will help as best I can. I have a few ideas but need the information to work from.

Trencrom - have replied to your PM as you have probably already discovered but I will also note the details here is this is looking like a rather peculiar problem. (As Sherlock Holmes might put it.) Now that I know the identity of the person I have done some checking. Firstly, this person was baptised at Madron and was married at Gulval so I checked the Burials for those to Parishes to no avail. I then found that I had a burial for her father-in-law at Towednack in 1819 with a notation that it was taken from the CFHS 1813-1837 Transcript. This would normally indicate that I have a copy of that document but, unfortunately, I cannot immediately find it. I also noted that the first two children were baptised Zennor so have just done a check of that Parish but, again, no luck. Now, you say you have already checked the Towednack PR for the period 1830-33 with no luck. - After checking the other 'likely' Parishes this is where I would expect her to be. If you cannot find her at Towednack then there is a fair chance she is not there. However, I would suggest that you check the PR for 1829 as it may be that she died in childbirth and that the child survived to be baptised in March of 1830.
