Most Parish Registers and Bishop's Transcripts for most parishes have gaps in the early years, which I have dubbed "Black Holes". All of us have ancestors whose baptisms or burials got swallowed up in one of those holes.
The earliest registers for Towednack are the Bishop's Registers held at the Cornish Studies Library in Redruth, which begin in 1597. Parish Registers held on film and available thru the LDS begin in 1683.
Below are the missing years (which cannot be found in either of the two sources). This may be helpful for those compiling early Towednack families, where persons are known to exist from Wills or other records, but whose birth or death cannot be found. Knowing which years are not extant can often help to narrow down the time period of the missing events.
Missing Years:
pre 1597 1604-1618 1620-1622 1624 1626-1629 1631-1634 1636-1660 1662-1664 1666 1669 1672 1675-1682 1706-1707 1709-1710 1712-1713
