Just found a (to me) new word in the Collins English Dictionary. conferruminated: a. (Bot.) CLOSELY ADHERED Wonder if it was created to describe West Penwith People. ;D ;D ;D

Well its not in my Concise Oxford English dictionary... now where's the Cornish book... Certainly us West Penwithians, for want of a better flowing name, keep very close links with cousin marrying cousin

I have a 1980 reprint of the 1956 edition ..... Perhaps they have updated everything and done away with the word. Maybe it was seen as getting a bit personal and was deemed offensive. ;D

Wasn't it Carew who said that all Cornish gentlemen were cousins?> So, if all Penwith folk are cousins of some sort, does that mean we are all gentry?
