Hi all!! Just to say hello and hope you will be able to help throw some light on my ancestral surname. I have created a post on the "Origins of Surnames" thread which explains more. I have an extensive tree going back to Thomas Bosanchoe b 1588, d 1621 who married Zenobya! not our current moderator I am sure unless.........hmmmmm. "BOS" seems common in Cornwall and likely to feature in the surname origins I guess. It seems to have been the verb for "TO BE"in the old Cornish language. Any help most welcoms. Thanks Tony Kistell ( gt.gt.gf. Alexander Bosanko b Crowan 1872 changed name to Kistell, buried in Sharlston, Wakefield 1951 with name on Certificate of Alexander Kistell Bosanko)
