You might already know but,
If anyone is interested the book 'Thomas Glasson, Lay Preacher', written by his son T. Francis Glasson, is still available for purchase. The book was published in 1943 and Thomas I J G Glasson had died in 1940.
New is out of print, but second hand copies are available on UK, US and Australian online book sites. Also available in some community and university libraries. (Check online)
Other books written by T.F. are also available and they are still used today as theological reference books and educational material. Some are expensive, even second hand.
Cheers, Lel.

Thanks Lel - I was not aware of these books but I do, somewhere, have some correspondence from T.Francis Glasson received during my early days of research.
You say Thomas Ishmael died in 1940?
If you have it available I would appreciate details of his death and burial and also that of his wife Eliza (nee TREWHELLA).
And should you have any further information on the two children I would like to supplement the very bare details I currently have.
Will catch up on all other postings on the family a little later.

Excellent thankyou Lannanta! That is 'Millie' alright and all I knew was that she had married someone named Cotton! Another little piece of the puzzle falls into place. BTW - do you have a source for this so that I can perhaps get a copy if it is available? CT

Lannanta - FamilySearch have some Derby records included in the standard Baptism search and you can find the details for Caroline Milne Glasson and her brother Thomas Francis there.
Also - Alfred Ernest Cotton was first married in New Zealand in 1919 to Ida Isabella but I am unsure about her surname.
The Marriage Index has it as - Key CKA Chammen
Any clues?

Sure do, old photocopy of the marriage entry - found it while cleaning up and so must have got it 10 or so years ago. Have sent it to you as a scan.
