Hello
I have just found your very interesting site.
John Curnow b 1548 in Cornwall was my 11th great grandfather, and so was John Trewhella who died in 1626.

Hello - out in the big wide world of the main forum. Let me suggest that you now move this query to a more appropriate section so that it can be discussed more in context. There are two sections under 'Surnames' or there is the Parish section but, at the moment, I would suggest maybe placing this under 'Curnow' or 'Trewhella' in the surnames section. Please outline your connection to those early Curnow and Trewhella people so that I can see just where we are at and so that I may respond appropriately. Also - please tell me a little more about the early John Curnow and John Trewhella as those dates seem new to me. I can certainly help you with most information about the Trewhella side of things and probably quite a bit of the Curnows and Quicks. But that 1626 date for the demise of John Trewhella has me a little stumped right now so I would certainly be interested in hearing more. I have been able to trace (with reasonable accuracy given available records) back to a marriage at St Erth of John TREWHELA in 1580. This is the family that became ensconced in the Towednack area but there are other possible connections that I am pursuing a little further East. There is also the family in the Redruth area who, at this point in time, do not seem to be directly related. I will look forward to your next and will pursue things from there. Cornish Terrier
