There was a burial at St Ives on the 18th November 1795 for a James Quick.
I have an Obligation given to Mary Quick, widow and relict of James Quick dated the 4th May 1796.
Do you have this James amongst your lot?

I have no details of that Oblig. note and the only James QUICK I have buried around that time was the husband of Catherine TREWHELLA and he was buried at Towednack. So I need to look at James QUICKs with a wife named Mary. I have two such beasts with Mary as their first wife but they remarried - one to Martha and the other to Dinah - so they are out. Two others that are accounted for in 1741 and 1765. And that leaves us with a RETURN TO AN OLD PROBLEM! At the moment this would appear to be the man who we ultimately found out (through Cornishmaid) married Mary HUMPHRIES at Falmouth in 1774. He would be the on with children Ann, Francis, Ann, James and Matthew. BUT Matthew was baptised 3rd April 1796 at St Ives. We would need someone to check that baptism in the original PR to see if it mentions the father as being deceased. That seems to be the only option I have for this James.
