Could do with some assistance here, particular for lookups.
John BURALL, of Phillack married Christian TREWHEELA at St Erth 6th August 1814
William s/o John and Christian bp. 23rd October 1814 at St Erth
John and Christian are both listed as age 45 in the 1841 Census but I know that Christian was born at Ludgvan in 1791.
Unfortunately John died in 1850 so I do not have the additional information provided by the 1851 Census to work with.
John was a blacksmith and sometime after the birth of William in 1814 the family relocated to Illogan where I assume John died.
Christian died there in 1875 when her age was recorded as 78. But in the 1871 Census she was also aged 78!
I have now found an additional five children and I must presume all were born at Illogan. From the 1851 Census I know that Elizabeth, age 27, and Mary, age 22, were born at Illogan.
In 1841 son Thomas was listed as age 20 and sons John and Henry both 15 and I presume were born Illogan.
If anyone has access to the relevant Illogan Parish Registers I would appreciate a lookup for details of these and any other baptisms, burials, marriages for this family.
As yet I cannot find a baptism for John and there appears to be no match for him in the IGI.

For starters, here are the baptism dates of the children. All were baptised in Illogan to John and Christian (Christiana*): Thomas Burall, bapt. 3 August 1820 John Burall, bapt. 23 October 1821 Elizabeth Burrall, bapt. 6 April 1824 Henry Burrall, bapt. 11 August 1826 (*) Mary Burall, bapt. 26 October 1828 (*) Will see what else I can find if I get more time this evening

Oh, and don't know if any of these might be John Snr: Camborne:- John Burall, bapt 12 September 1787 to John Burall and Catherine John Burall, bapt 11 November 1787 to Paul and Grace John Burall, bapt 28 May 1798 to Paul and Grace (Elizabeth?) Illogan:- John Burall, bapt. 24 June 1792 to William Burall and Elizabeth This last one looks interesting as John and Christian called their first child William, and one of their daughters Elizabeth

Thanks you tireless worker you. Guess I will have to go hunting now and see if there were any other children between William and Thomas. Six years is a fair amount of time so there could have been even three others who had died, married or just been living elsewhere in 1841. (William was not with them in 1841 either.) I am in favour of the Illogan baptism in 1792 for John also. Giving his age as 45 in the 1841 Census means that he was born after 1790. (If he was playing the game fair!) And if he was born after 1795 I should think it very likely his age would have been recorded as 40. That basically eliminates the Camborne baptisms and, as you say, his first son was William and first 'known' daughter Elizabeth. Don't know what he was doing at Phillack but the Illogan baptism also gives reason for him to end up there. A few more gaps in my own families being filled after having been neglected for so long. Almost time to finish for the night. Have to go up town tomorrow but can relax after that.
