I have only just joined this group and would like to say hello to everyone. Born and bred in Mousehole and Penzance of mainly Cornish stock, I have connections to many of the Penwith parishes and have thoroughly researched my family tree back to the 17th and 18th centuries in just about every line. My congratulations to the creators of this excellent forum!
Best wishes,
Mary Chown nee Nicholls

Hello Mary, and welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find members here who can help your history expand. Personally I dont appear to have any connection with your family names, although I am descended from John DAVY who married Jane DAVIE at St Just in 1730. There is also a possible link to Edward STEVENS of Zennor whose daughter (name unknown) married Matthew PHILLIPS at Zennor in 1674. I have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at Boskednan, with views over Mousehole and The Mount (at least thats what the brochure said - in between the showers) Happy hunting, Mike
