After years of hitting a brick wall at around 1860 I am now back in the 1580's within a couple of days! All thanks to this site that helped me put the missing pieces in my jigsaw. I have got so far as the following Robert Davy baptised (?) 3rd March 1663 (1663-1738), married 16-Feb 1685 to Anne Kitt who died without issue. His second marriage was to Joan Marrack daughter of Richard Marrack 19th October 1708 at Paul, Cornwall. Edmund Davy of Ludgvan b. 16 Sept 1625 married to Joan Blake of St Breage 28th Sept 1649 son of Nyclis Davy baptised 10th February 1581, Ludgvan son of Edmond Davie After this it gets very tricky as loads of Edmond Davys seem to pop up all over the place. These Edmonds are mentioned in the Parish of St Erth. The dates are confusing and seem to overlap. I found the information on the following but the details are scanty. www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

I am very happy to hear how useful this site is and has been to people - it is achieving what it was designed to be. I will be working more on this family as I get the chance but will keep my eye on this thread for further developments until that chance arises.
