Arundell: Hello, Newlyn, again. If you type "Arundell of Kenegie"into Google, you will find a lot of resource material relating to Arundell/Harris, including an on-line book. "Viell" may be a corruption of "Davilles" and "De Villes", but I am not an expert on the subject and there are persons more competent on this website who may be of help. However, I can supply you with data (some of it "iffy") that includes: Mary Grevill/William Harris, son Arthur Harris m.Margaret Davilles (Arthur buried Gulval), sister Katherine m.Thomas Martin. Arthur has 9 children, incl. son Arthur and g-son Christopher (the Kenegie one, d.1775). Another son: 3 wives, the second being Cordelia Mohun, son Arthur, who m. Philophia Turner. Dates etc available if you want them.
The aforementioned Mary`s father is Fulke Grevill, m. Elizabeth Willoughby 1512, Wilts. She is related to Edward 111 .
Some misc. data: Gulval. William Arundell Harris b.1794 m. Mary Lucinder Webber, 19 Sept.1815.
David.

Arundell. Another "Tree" to explore is "Azazella59" (Kathie Weigel, Ohio, I think)...the Gedcom. The Tree(s) that could be of use to you are massive. I am throwing some more names at you.If any name "rings a bell", so to speak, let us know:
de Brian Eleanor Fitzpiers (or "Peters"). Or Fitz Peter. Nicholas de Audley. Thomas Shirley. Hugh Shirley Ralph Bassett. Jane Bassett. Stourton and de Stourton. Banastre Hill Gerald Braybrooke Nichole Braybrooke. de Meynell (Hugh, Isabel). Joan Martin, Countess of Linn. de Wedhull John Grevill Ann Denton Thomas Chaworth Isabel Brome Penelope Donathorne of St. Agnes. William Martin (lots!).
I am worried that my internet may cut off. More anon......
David.

Newlyn: the only Willoughby I have on record is Elizabeth 1512, Wilts., died 15 Nov. 1562. Her husband: Sir Fulke Grevill b.1505, Warwickshire, d. 10 Nov.1559. A child is: Mary G.,b.1532, died in Devon, one of 8 daughters(!). She married a William Harris b.1526, Devon, d.22 Feb.1591. Marr.: 11 Sept. 1553, London.
Grevill may eventually have metamorphosed to "Grenville".
If you are indeed related to the above, then I can give you a rather "iffy" Tree going back to 1020 (Tours, Normandy) and half the Plantagenent monarchy!
I am trying to trace "my" Lambert Martins, d. 26 Dec.1723, Stithians, 5th. child of David M. 1598-1666, with earlier kinsmen. Lambert appears on the Azazella59 Tree that I have mentioned.
David.

Hello My great great grandfather was Henry Boyns who married grace shakerly. The Shakerly family lived at Bostraze where my uncle now lives and where my mother grew up( on the wall of the farm there is an engraving denoting - JS 1723). All of the Boyns family from that strain, except my Great grandfather emigrated to America most becoming successful in business. They were a remarkable familyI have also recently discovered that John Opie painted Honor Boyns in 1790 she would have been Henry's grandmother or great aunt

Hi Paula, Good to have you on the forum. I am descended from Grace's brother Thomas, and sister Mary. Together with a cousin, descended from the oldest sibling James, I have done some extensive research on the Shakerley line. I also visited Bostrase 3 years ago and spent some time with Eric Boyns. You will see some extensive Phillips threads on the site (Grace SHAKERLEYs mum being Alice PHILLIPS), and I am currently working on this family. If there is anything I can assist you with please ask. Best wishes Mike Angove

Have you seen a copy of the painting of Honor Boyns? It would be interesting to see it and work out exactly which Honor it is. The age of person in the painting and when painted etc. You had a query with regard to Charles Kingsley Thomas and I can now confirm he is linked to the Boyns family via his grandmother Mary Boyns.

Hello
I was wondering if you had any other information on the connection between Charles Kingsley Thomas and his grandmother Mary boyns? I now have the full details of Grace shakerly's children her death in 1853 and Amelia Carthew who married Henry Boyns in 1954 and details on those children where the ended up - USA mainly.
Paula
