Hello to everyone here, My name is Margaret and I too have Penwith ancestors. My family line is mainly the 'Warren' Family dating back as far as we know too about 1600. The area the family is from is mainly St Just in Penwith and some from St Buryan. Maybe hoping to find some 'distant' rellies out there as well. Can't wait to look around. Margaret.

Hello Margaret, and welcome to the board. There are plenty of experienced researchers here who will chip in to assist you. I have an extensive St Just background, including my GGG Grandma Jane Warren of Truthwall. she was baptised 9th July 1826 the daughter of Richard Warren, miner, and Margaret (Thomas). They married in St Just 11th Oct 1823. Richard Warren died from 'accidental death from an internal injury to his head' presumably from a mining accident in 1847 age 48. Given the number of Richard Warrens and Margaret Thomas's around St.Just I havent developed them further as yet. Jane Warren was one of 11 children and went on to marry Richard Williams (!) 13th Aug 1846 in St Just. Warrens in my tree include James who married Beeten Shakerley in 1770, Alice Warren married Augustine Thomas in 1772. Other Warrens married into Chirgwin (Madron 1761), Grenfell 1675, Collemo 1652, Herland 1621. If any of these appear familiar let me know. Best wishes Mike
