The first of these was the son of William Richard QUICK and his wife Grace (nee NICHOLAS) and was born at St Ives in 1891. He must have been only just married when he and his wife left for the US. From FreeBMD 1912 Penzance R.D. June Qtr vol 5c page 425 Benedict QUICK Mary A FREEMAN The second Benedict is almost certainly the son of Tomas Richards QUICK and his wife Catherine Humphrys (nee NINNES). Benedict was born at St Ives 20th July 1882 and baptised there 4th August 1882. The family was then living at The Digey. I tried to log into Ellis Island the other night but have forgotten my username and password. I tried on several occasions to get a 'reminder' sent to me via email but, for some reason, it is not getting through.
