CT I have spent the last couple of hours looking at your Quick problem No 1 and I confess that, with the information I have at hand, I am unable to add anything of value to it. I was wondering if you, or anybody else, knew of the William who married Mary SIMMONS 26/3/1733 in Ludgvan and for which there are at least four children (William, Ann, Thomas & James)baptised at Ludgvan between 1734 and 1746? I believe that particular William to have been the son of Henry and Jane Quick (m. 27th January 1699 at Towednack). William was baptised at Towednack 1st September 1705. His brother John left a Will in 1777 in which he named brothers James, William, Edward and Richard. I need to find that Will and review it as I have not recorded any mention of his sisters. Besides - this is the Ludgvan lot and I ain't dun finished the St Ives lot yet. Will try and find the information from that Will and see if it has anything further of help to us. CT

CT I thought that I would give you an easy question just to give your brain a break. As a matter of interest the sisters were mentioned in the will - it is on Kathy's website I think. I am still working on putting all my entries into their respective families in my genealogy programme which is why I seem to be moving about a fair bit. I am hoping that once I enter all the known Quicks I will be left with the unknowns and I will use them to drive me nuts for the next few years. ;D PS - A hiding for the Waratahs next week??

I had a look at all the Wills I have downloaded from Kathie's site but could not see it. Best I have another look. What about me right now. At least I am close to finishing the bulk of the St Ives Quicks through the 1800's although there are still a few odds and ends to be sorted out. Who are they and what do they play. (I am serious ) Well, time to move on to the next lot. CT
