Yes, Richard Quick baptized 13th March 1663 (OS) at Zennor. He married Amey Nicholas at St Ives 26th November 1688 and was buried at St Ives 24th November 1692 leaving a Will written 29th August 1692 and proved 15th June 1693 at St Ives. There were three children - 1. Richard (1687-1706) - Admon. 1706 granted to his mother Amy 2. Phyllep (1689-1775) - although no marriage has been found it is she who married Edward Quick (son of William Quick/Elizabeth Stevens of Zennor) and had 8 children at St Ives. Baptisms for the first six children are in the St Ives PRs but there was a son Edward buried in 1730 and a daughter Phyllis who married John Bolitho at St Ives in 1756. She is identified as part of the family both by her name and by the witnesses two her marriage who were her siblings William and Bridget Quick. 3. Amey (1692-1780) - married Charles Jenkin at St Ivesin 1718.
Amey Quick, widow of Richard, married Robert Bennatts at St Ives in 1694 and had another six children and her Will was proved at St Ives in 1723.
BTW - this Nicholas family was known as 'Nicholas alias Nance' and I think sometimes appeared as Nance in the records.

Richard Quick ..... was buried at St Ives 24th November 1692 leaving a Will written 29th August 1692 and proved 15th June 1693 at St Ives. That will also mentions a brother William Quick as one of the overseers along with Richard's farther James.
I have also a Will record from a William Quick written 1698 proved 1699/1700. I'm assuming this is the same person. Any chance that there is a baptism record in the BT??

Unfortunately not - there are scattered Exeter BTs from 1611-1636 and then none until 1663-1667 and 1673 and then Bodmin BTs 1681-1736 (with gaps). And although the original Parish Register is available it is largely fragmented or water damaged. In the case of the 1650s it appears none of the pages survived or the register was not filled out during the period of the Commonwealth.
My guestimate for William is 'circa 1655'.

Hello, my name is Sami and I am not great at navigating sites like this. I am from Australia and have always believed from my father, Donald William Quick (deceased) that we were from Cornwall but were Spanish. Dad certainly looked as though he could have been Spanish. I have read enough from this site that it may be true and for this I am most grateful and to all of you, thankyou. Cheers Sami
