To get people started on the Camborne list I will offer the following which I hope will induce some interest and, hopefully, some help.
Charles TREWHEELAH married Margery LUKE at Camborne on June 5th 1686 (Camborne Parish Register)
In 1687 Dorcas was baptised at Camborne and was married there in 1714 to a Richard MICHALL.
Dorcas MICHALL was buried at Camborne in 1741.
In 1689 Mathew TREWHELYEA was baptised at Camborne.
He was married to Hanath THOMAS in 1716 at Camborne and was buried there in 1755.
(I do have some queries here that require checking but it all seems substantially correct.)
Mathew had three known (currently) children for whom descendants of one, William, I have been able to trace to the current day.
The third known child of Charles was John but I have been unable to locate a baptismal record for him.
John was married twice and had nine known children of whom one was married three times.
Descendants of this family can, I believe, be found in New Zealand, Australia and (I think) the USA as well as the UK.
The last known child of Charles was Elizabeth who, from information I received many years ago, was baptised in 1696 at Camborne and buried 1765 at Kenwyn. (I do not yet know if she married).
I believe CHARLES is a probable son of one Christopher TREWHELLA who was involved with the Will of Christopher COCK of Helston in 1678/9.
It is also believed probable that this Christopher TREWHELLA was the son-in-law of Christopher COCK and that he was a widower by 1678.
Both these Christophers had dealings in the Towednack and St Ives areas as well as Helston so ......
A search through the A2A site provided some interesting items which, although I have not yet had the documents viewed, provide information of value.
It seems that, in 1694, Charles Trewheela of Camborne, blacksmith, took a lease on Treglenwith in Camborne.
In 1745 a 99 year lease was taken on this property with names mentioned being Eliz. Trewheela, dau. of Chas. T., and Rich. Trewheela, s. of Jn. T. of Kenwyn, blacksmith)
Also mentioned in 1745 was 'Dwelling-house with room or shop adj., formerly a smith's shop, with gdn. adj., all built by Chas. Trewheela out of Treglinwith tenement (as above); also the little plot next to the water in the highway; with common of pasture on Treswithen commons.
I shall have these documents looked at as soon as I can but the information provided in precis is certainly interesting.
