Found the following at the National Archives. C 143/356/10 (39 Edward III - 1366)
It relates to land in Yorkshire.
John de Cawode to retain land in Cawood acquired as follows:-- from Robert son of Agnes, who acquired it from John de Cawode; from John son of Bate, who acquired it from John de Cawode; from Thomas son of Robert de Cawode, who acquired it from John deCawode; from Roger del Marche, who acquired it from David de Cawode; from Thomas Pulter, who acquired it from Simon Pulter, who acquired it from David de Cawode; from Robert son of Agnes, who acquired it from John de Cawode; from Henry Fissher, who acquired it from Richard de Lanum, who acquired it from David de Cawode; from Robert LANYN, who acquired it from William LANYN, who acquired it from John le Forester, who acquired it from John de Wistowe, who acquired it from William son of Ellen de Wistowe, who acquired it from David de Cawode; from Alice daughter of Richard Chapman, who acquired it from David de Cawode; and to settle it on himself, Margaret his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to his own right heirs. York.
Is this related to Lanyon/Lanyne family from Cornwall? Is this the Robert Lanion, father of Margaret who married John Skory of Whalsburye, and is mentioned in the Herald's Visitation (under Skory).
I'll post it here just in case it is useful to someone else.
