Welcome to the site Dawn. 1815 might be just a little early for photographs I reckon and Fowey is a fair way 'up country' for many of us. That is not to say you won't find any help here so tell us a little of what you know about your William Harvey and we will see what can be done to help. CT

I've found these two sources useful in looking for coastguard connections: www.genuki.org.uk/big/Coastguards/H-IHas a quick overview of William Harvey's family and his postings: 1851 Lanteglos Fowey CON 1861 On pension at Fowey, CON [RG9/1545/52] 1871 Still at Fowey, CON, on pension [RG10/2258/50] 1881 Still at Fowey, CON, on pension [RG11/2299/48] And there is a growing section on the National Archives: www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/coastguard-officers/ ..... which includes some very large files you can download freely: "Coastguard establishment books and registers (1816-1947) Browse and download the Coastguard establishment books and registers in ADM 175, free from our website." Just in case you haven't already found this - and to fill in the gap in the GenUKI coastguard records at 1841 ... the family were in Devon.
The census may be a bit misleading. For example, it puts William and Elizabeth as being born in Devon - whereas other records suggest Cornwall.
1841 Census (William Harvey (45 - Coastguard - Born in County) living at Parkham, Devon with Elizabeth (45 - Born in County), Samuel (13?), Emilia (11 - Born in County) and Eliza (8 - Born in County).
NOTE: Samuel said to have been born in Ireland - so we know where they were posted around the late 1820s.
