Hi phonelady. Perhaps it would be better if we continue our discussions about Furze (and other interesting things) with personal messages rather than on the "Waters" link as I have little connection with "Waters/Watters/Walters" crowd. However....whilst I'm here....I have several Mary Furzes but only one Mary Elizabeth and she was born in 1889. However the one born in 1868 must be one of mine as she was buried in Lead. I vaguely heard about a William buried in Bald Mountain but don't have him as 'one of mine'.

Or you could start a new thread rather than go private. I have DNA matches with some Furze descendants who married into my Wickett/Woof line. They were from Jacobstowe/Launceston area. I think there is another Furze line much further west.

Could do Spike. What thinkest thou Phonelady? I must admit to not being knowledgeable with the workings of the site to set up another thread. Never came across the Wicket/Woof line, but I am aware the the Furze s seem to have originated in Devon.

Ok, the new Furze thread is under the Queries section. It's titled "Furze / Furse / Purse and related."
