Had a big puty problem, had to buy new one and lost nearly everything. Backed up my family tree programme just before it happened though. Phew!!! ;D So, welcome to everyone who has joined in my absence, and hope we can help each other find those elusive ancestors. Will try and catch up in the next few days, but have an interview for a job tomorrow Arghhhh!!!

I have to apologise also for being away so much. Not to go into a long spiel, but am having some health problems related to sinuses, and believe me, when you cannot breathe, it gets really hard to take an interest in anything. I have an appt. with an allergist on Tuesday, am hoping this is just an infection and can get it cleared up and get back to important stuff like Cornish genealogy.

Get well soon Zenobia.. Hopefully the allergist will find something My Aunt in st Just recently had lots of problems with her eyes, and after all sorts of other quacks, she saw an allergist who diagnosed a few things to avoid, especially citrus. It worked. So, best wishes to you for a speedy diagnosis. Mike

Everyone - thanks for the kind words. My problem is I've been addicted to nasal spray for many years (I've done a bit of research and found that close to 10 Million people in the US have the same problem). I think it has finally damaged the veins in the front of my nose, as that part will not clear. I can still breath, but with a lot of friction. If I use one of those Breathe-Right nasal strips I can breath clearly, but they are awful to keep on your nose. I am still trying to find a way to kick the spray (I still need it to open the back part of my nose) before it does further damage. Problem is, all the various meds I've been given so far which are supposed to help with congestion, actually make it 100% worse. The allergist yesterday gave me a prescription spray (that does not cause rebound effect like over the counter ones), had it only worked partially I would have tried to tough it out for a few weeks and get off the other stuff. But like all the others I've been given to 'help' the situation, within one minute it caused my nasal passage to completely close up, like I had cement in it. So I am back to square one and not knowing what to do. I would appreciate any prayers - this is really throwing me into a major depression

Hi hope you feel better soon.
I suffer from something similar but with me its because I work with flowers and have had a problem with the pollen for years.
I have used nasal sprays but were no good.
One thing I did find good when things got so bad and pain full is I use some drops of Fryers Balsam. I put 3 or 4 drops in hot water in a bowl with a trowel over my head and breathing in the steam for about 15 mins for about a week. Then using the nasal strips every night when going to sleep. It works with me
Best wishes George

Dear Cousin - I also am sad that things have gotten so bad for you health-wise and hope the problem will be solved soon.
I would like to also thank all your well-wishers and, although probably done elsewhere on the Board tonight, to thank them for their work in my own absence.
It seems we are gathering a good crew here to tackle what YOU initially set out to do and I must say that I am very pleased to have them all aboard.
Until you get well enough just 'poke your head in' every now and then to see what is happening and let 'the team' take care of the rest for now. ;D
Still a lot to do here in the new place but THE CORNISH TERRIER IS BACK ON THE PROWL. ;D
