Just wanted to say good luck to all the bands participating in the SWBBA contest at Torquay tomorrow... especially the Cornish bands Heyl Town Band and St Stythians. And good luck to all my old mates at Redruth .

Go the Cornish Folk. - I am sure they are good enough to win and 'stick it up 'em'. Quote from Jonesy (Dad's Army) - "They don't like it up 'em, you know."

I am proud to say that both Heyl and Stythians both claimed first prize in their categories ;D, with Heyl also winning Best Horn Section. Go the little Cornish folk

Proud of 'em all. And they beat the 'furreigners' on their own turf. "They don't like it up 'em, you know" ;D Hope the teams all imbibed in a few pints afterwards - not that I would.
