Hazel G Glasson married Norman Ahlburg in NSW in 1930. Where does she fit in? I can find nothing else on Australian Indexes for her. Di

She is one of at least eight children of Charles Randolph Glasson and Mary Williams who were married in NSW in 1899.

Thanks, I have just found out from Hazels son, that Hazel is the Grand-daughter of John Glasson and Annie Evans according to him. His mother Hazel walked out on the family when he was about 4. Not sure if this is right, there is a possible birth for a Charles R born 1869 in bathurst s/o joseph H and sarah. I have 3 chn for them John 1837, Robert 1841 and Mary 1842. Di

I do not agree with him.
I have Charles Randolph Glasson as one of eleven children of Joseph Henry Glasson and Sarah Miller.
I have Joseph Henry Glasson as one of six children of John Glasson and Ann Bennett.
This John Glasson I have as born in Breock, Cornwall in 1805. I have the following note in my database however:
I have never got as far as researching Hazel's family and so I would be interested in any details of that generation.

I have become very confused regarding the NSW Glassons ..Between John Glasson and Annie Evans, and John Glasson and Ann Bennett. This must be where the Ahlburgh son got the info from. Two Different sites have Joseph henry born Orange in 1844 at their son. Along with all his siblings. The above Joseph Henry married Sarah Miller in 1867. You stated he was the s/o John and Ann Bennett, so I will go with that one. Thanks

John Glasson (of Bookanon) married Anne Evans in NSW in 1834. They had three children: John (b1837 at NSW); Robert (b1841 at NSW); and Mary Anne (b1842 at NSW).
John junior and Robert both shifted to New Zealand and died there. Lannanta

John Glasson (b 1805 Cornwall) married Ann Bennett in 1837 at Falmouth. They had six children: Charles Bennett Glasson (b 1838 Bathurst) died in New Zealand Elizabeth Jane Glasson (b 1840 Bathurst) Annie M. Glasson(b 1842 Bathurst) Joseph Henry Glasson (b 1844 Bathurst) Mary Pool Glasson (b 1847 Bathurst) Emily Chapman Glasson (b 1851 Bathurst)
Di, that is how I see it but it is open to discussion.

I'm assuming the Richard and Phillipa in the previous discussion was Richard chr 1777 s/o Robert and Eleanor Thomas? If so that would put him in the John and Verant side of the family.I have not even put the Richard/Phillipa side in by database, as no information in OPC except their marriage in 1799. No children on the opc site. I notice from one of your previous postings that you have 10 children for them? If the John/Bennett side can be confirmed, (or even probable) this would tie them all to the same side of the family. Was there also a Robert 1841 and Mary Ann 1842? These 2 were born to a John and Anne (different spelling). Di

Yes that is how I see this family. However you may want to see if others will verify this connection. If I am right you will find a number of these 10 children in Australia.

Do you have christening dates for the above children? I can only find 2, that of Anna Maria and Jonathan. And which of those do I need to follow up to Australia? Thanks
