I'm sure we all use google to hunt for some of our historical facts, but do we specifically use google books? I have found this a very plentiful source of information, and it avoids the general google search where you find everyone else's erroneous trees and all the modern day entries that match the criteria. Simply open the google homepage, enter your search parameters, and then click on "more", and "books". The historical volumes online are now quite extensive and always make fascinating reading for any historian. Of course, it gets very frustrating when, due to the book owner's restrictions, you cant read anything, or worse still when you get a tantalising short extract! Well worth trying if you dont already. You may be surprised. Mike
