My X12th great grandfather Henry Angwin (c.1489) was a witness of a shipping accident, near St. Just. Does anyone have information on this? Also any other information on him, would be appreciated. I know of his son Martin/Martyn, but not much more about him; wife ... vocation ... etc. Thank you in advance. Phil

Hi Cousin Jack and Helensfamily. I do not as yet have a link to the Angwins in my own genealogy, but I have a few suggestions. From your posts it would appear that you already have a family pedigree of some sort. I have come across an online website that has a lot of detail on the Angwins. hattam.net/familytree/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=hattam.gedHave you seen this website? If not, you might find it helpful to compare your own pedigrees with the data on this site. Regarding the Elizabeth Angwin -Joseph Giles marriage: Joseph Giles of the parish of Morvah married Elizabeth Angwin in St Just on the 29th April 1721. Joseph, s. of Thomas Giles, b. Morvah 15 March 1695. There appear to be three possible Elizabeth Angwins: Elizabeth, d. of Thomas Angwin and Bridget Walter, b. St. Just 4 Dec 1692. Elizabeth, d. of Malachy Angwin and Sarah Wallish, b. St. Just 30 Sep 1693. Elizabeth, d. of Martin Angwin and Jane Ustick, b. St. Just Sep 1699. Above details from the OPC Cornwall website: www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/

Hello, Joseph & Elizabeth are my 5th Great Grandparents. I believe I have almost complete detail of the Giles line from their son Henry (one of nine) to the present day. Elizabeth Angwin was the daughter of Martin Angwin and Jane Ustick b 18.9.1899 and one of eight children. Martins parents were Henry & Phillipa and Jane's parents were Thomas 1612-1690 and Mary Trembath (dates unknown) Happy to share information if you require

As with your previous post about Benjamin and Faith Rodda it would be wise to check every piece of information to ensure it can be verified. CT
