This is a work in progress, started over a century ago, with many volumes already puiblished for numerous counties. The series generally covers each parish and included footnotes, however many counties have less than half of their parishes covered in the volumes produced thus far. There is also a website that you can visit to see new material for the project.
For Cornwall one complete volume had been published to date, which mainly focuses on natural history and geography. A second is planned, to deal with the history of religious houses (monasteries, priories, etc)
BUT
what may not be well known is that parts (and only parts), of an earlier projected "volume two" were also produced decades ago. These deal with parishes in .....
Penwith!
and included information on the histories of the principal manors in each parish covered therein and so forth. I have seen these for myself in trips to Cornwall in recent years. I think they were at the Cornish Studies Library in Redruth.

This is extremely interesting and I will look forward to anything further you may be able to add about this. Can you indicate anthying about Parishes or Persons mentioned? Woud a discussion via PM be helpful to save unnecessary clutter on the Board.

Definitely saw some stuff for both Crowan and Madron, they were not the only parishes covered but were the ones I recall as I was interested in the details for the same. Possible that there are copies also at the Morrab Library (Penzance) but not certain of this.

Hmmm - thanks for that and it sounds both interesting and promising. Will look forward to any further updates. And the Crowan information may come in useful now that we have a 'Crowan Board' to play with.

Other parishes covered: Morvah, Zennor, Gulval and Lelant. Gwinear and Towednack are others. Ditto Ludgvan and Paul.
There are brief general parish descriptions as well as detailed ones of each of the parish churches.
Genealogical information unfortunately seems restricted to those involved with either the history of the parish churches, their associated advowsons or else the various owners in succession of the manors that held land in the parishes in question, but sources of the information are included for the same.
