CT et al I have two baptisms for Jane Glassons at Paul - one on 27/12/1791 to John Glasson and the second on the 7/4/1793 to John and Constance Glasson. I have a burial at Paul on the 6/8/1792 for Jane Glasson and a second one at Madron on 29/10/1794 - infant of Paul. John and Constance were married in late 1790 at St Buryan so if these two Janes were sisters I would be a brave man to have either of them getting married? But if the name Jane was so important, why did the next girls get to be named Mary, Esther, Elizabeth, Phillis and Elizabeth again? Importantly however, I cannot find a 3rd Jane.... am I looking hard enough??? Lannanta

Perhaps you need to widen the vision my friend! John Glasson was baptised at Paul and his wife Constance at St Buryan and they married at St Buryan in 1790 as you say. All children were baptised at Paul!SO WHY WOULD THEY BURY A CHILD AT MADRON??? From the Madron Parish Register - Burials in 1794:- Jane Glafson, Infant, from Paul - October 29 Anne Glafson, Infant, from Paul - November 6 John and Constance never had a daughter named Anne so I think that if you find a home for Anne then you most certainly find a home for Jane! OH YES! and you can stop worrying about the possibility of another child for John and Constance! CT

Solved! Anne and Jane were daughters of Thomas Glasson (m. Alice Baschan) and his second wife Jane Daniel. Anne bp. privately 3rd July 1792 Madron Jennifer bp. privately 22nd October 1790 Madron A second daughter named Jennifer was baptised at Paul 21st February 1796 and buried at Madron 19th June 1799. I believe you should have all of this in your database already? CT

In fact I had it all except the burial in 1792 for Jane. I forgot about the Jennifers again... I will learn one of these days.
Have one more for you in a little while.....
