An addition to my last which largely solves the Richards problem. I think you will find that Mary Mark Richards was named after her aunt who was in turn possibly named for her grandmother. I believe George Richards was baptised 17th May 1789 at Paul son of Richard Richards and Sarah MARK who were married at Paul in 1777 and who baptised daughter Mary Mark Richards at Paul in 1786. There are two possible marriages for George Richards:- m. Elizabeth Warren 4th March 1816 Paul m. Elizabeth Hitchens 24th March 1820 Madron A check of the children of George and Elizabeth proves that the logical choice will be the correct one. Elizabeth and George cc/o George and Elizabeth were both baptised at Paul 3rd October 1819 and Elizabeth was recorded as '2 years old'. CT

Lannanta - who was the Ester Glasson visiting the widowed Mary Mark in 1851?
Also - FreeBMD has a birth recorded for Anne Glasson in the March Qtr of 1853 Penzance R.D.
Unless you have another Ann(e) born around then I would think this is probably the girl incorrectly recorded as Anne Mark in the 1861 Census.

I believe her to be Joanna Esther Glasson, born around 1839 to William Glasson and Mary Anne Mires - William being the brother of the George in recent discussions who married three times. Esther was a 2 year old with her parents at Church Street in Paul in the 1841 census.

Agreed, although I made a note concerning the census entry, I have Ann as being born in 1853 as a Glasson and eventually the spouse of John Richards.
