Hello I am interested intracing as many links in my husband's family, the Tenbeths, which is a small family as the name came about as the result of an illiterate person who joined the army and came home as a Tenbeth! So says the family folklore. Just looking for any help as to tracing this man who was born in the late 1820s in the St Just area but does not appear on the electoral role as a Tenbeth until 1851, we guess he was a Trembath or similar it is just tracing his parents. Thank you

Welcome to Penwith Genealogy. Checking my database and I find that you are probably looking for information about Christopher Tenbeth baptised 1829 illegitimate son of Elizabeth. I see you have posted a note elsewhere so will continue there. CT
