Hi, new member from New Zealand. I have recently started researching my Cornish ancestry and it seems I am connected to the Glassons, Trewhellas, Urens etc from the Lelant and Towednack areas. I also have connections to Kemps and Bryants but unfortunately have been unable to find out much about them.
I have a mystery I would like to solve about my great great grandparents, William Kemp and Elizabeth Bryant, who came to Southbridge NZ from Cornwall I think in the 1870s but I can't confirm their birthdates, parents, marriage, or arrival in NZ. I have tentatively decided that Elizabeth is the daughter of William Bryant and Elizabeth Glasson of Lelant who married in 1831, and if this is the case there is a wealth of information available about the Glasson and Trewhella families. I am hoping people can help me to both confirm my research and also to learn something new!
