I'm so pleased to have stumbled across this board. I've been researching my ancestry for a few years now, and have learned that my paternal grandfather's people immigrated from Cornwall to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the 19th century. My gggrandparents Thomas Mill and Johanna Lawrence were born in Illogan (in 1825 and 1832 repectively), while gggrandparents William Thomas Bond and Eliza Hosken were born in Sancreed (1832) and St. Just in Penwith (1833). As I've already seen some of these names mentioned on this board, I hope to add to the information I have -- for some of the above I've been able to trace back further, for others not.
Many thanks to the moderator and contributors for adding to the pleasure of geanealogy research!

Hello and welcome to Penwith Genealogy - and thank you for your very warm introduction. Having had a look around you will have noticed that we have areas where queries specific to Illogan, St Just, Sancreed etc. can be discussed so I look forward to 'seeing' you there. We will do our best to help you find the answers and to knock down a few of those brickwalls we all seem to find. CT
