Hi, Could someone please look at the birth place of Richard Oates on the attached 1911 Census. I know the rest of the families birthplace but Richard's is one I don't know. Thanks in advance. Cheryl Attachments:

Looks like NEWBRIDGE, SANCREED to me.
NEWBRIDGE is a "hamlet" of Sancreed, Sancreed itself being in the middle of the Land's End Peninsula.

It is most certainly Newbridge.
There was an Ernest Oates son of Nicholas of Newbridge baptised at Sancreed in 1871.
But looking at 1871 and 1881 Census it would appear this Richard may have been son of Thomas and Jane Oates who were at Tregerras, Sancreed in 1871 and in Madron in 1881.
I have not found a baptism for Richard yet but he could well have been born at Newbridge and baptised in one of the Chapels.
