Welcome back George. I am sure you will get some takers. At some point I need to look at at least a couple of the Semmens family but not quite sure when that will be. For those who are interested - I am in the process of rechecking the Trewhella and variant names and performing a general update of my datababase. I have completed a review of the GRO Indexes for BDMs 1837 to 2005 and I am as confident as I can be that I now have every name indexed. The next part of the project is to attempt to match each indexed name to a baptism, marriage or burial event so that each can be properly identified. From this process I have learned some things of value which I will outline in a new thread. CT

Hi George, You mention the Bryant family from Lelant. My Bryant family was originally from Helston then moved to St. Ives around 1770. I'm not familiar with the geography of the region and wonder if Lelant is close to St. Ives. My ancestor that relocated to St. Ives was William Bryant and wife Elizabeth Truscot. Their children were Catherine, George, Eleanor, James and John. George was my 4th great grandfather. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Liz - St Ives shares a border with Lelant to the Southeast.
