Hi all, Great forum, will take ages to work my way through it all. My interest is in the single name study of Mitchell/Michell in Devon and Cornwall. Unfortunatly there are about 100,000 of them at least! Currently working on the Mitchells of St Buryan area trying to fit them all into one tree if possible so will welcome any help from anyone who has already gone down this road. All my Mitchell trees are on display at www.devon-mitchells.co.uk (sorry about the Devon bit in the url!). Also would like to hear from any Cornish Mitchell/Michells who have had DNA done to compare with others. Best regards to all Ian Mitchell

Welcome to the gang Ian. I gather Tony has already been in touch. Between us, and with the help of our resident expert CT and others we should be able to help, although tying together all the different families is tricky as many of the PRs available do not go back beyond 1700. For instance I think there is a link (not just in the sound) between the Mitchells of Zennor and Sennen but that's one for another day.

Hi Ian and welcome aboard. I have done a bit of work on the Michell families of Zennor with at least two Michell/Trewhella marriages being my link. As Londoner says there is a link to some over at Sennen. Been a while since I did anything with the family and I still have some confusion over the earlier ones but will certainly do what I can to help. CT
