I would appreciate your thoughts on the following.
Years ago when I was collating the GLASSON census entries I recorded the family of John Glasson and his wife Wilmot at Kenwyn. They had quite a family including; Jame, Amelia, Nicholas, Mary, Richard, Wilmot, Ann Jeremiah, Samuel and Eleanor. I have recently discovered that the last two children were actually baptised Samuel Quick Glasson and Eleanor Quick Glasson, so therefore the parents are obviously the 1814 marriage at Kea between John Glasson and Wilmot Quick.
I never quite worked out who Wilmot the mother was. But then again I did not have the Quick family of Kea/Kenwyn in such detail as I do now. Although I still cannot find a baptism for Wilmot I believe that she was the daughter of Samuel Quick and Eleanor Symonds. In the 1841 and 1851 census Wilmot states that she was born in Kenwyn around 1796 which may explain the lack of a record for her - her close siblings were baptised at Kea.
If I am correct which seems highly likely, Wilmot was named after her grandmother Wilmot Curnow, linking this family back to Towednack.
But it seems to get a little more interesting. Amelia, baptised in 1824, daughter of John and Wilmot, married James Quick Nankivell and I found this by looking for her widowed father John in the 1861 and 1871 census. According to my records, James Quick Nankivell was the son of Jane nee Quick who was the daughter of John Quick and Grace Harris. This once again then leads us back to Paul Quick and Wilmot Curnow.
Whaddayareckon?

BTW - I am pretty sure that John Glasson was the son of Robert Glasson and Jane Burt of Kenwyn - Jane being the daughter of Nicholas Burt - however I do not think that I have a direct link to this Glasson family.
