I have the following note in my database which says that the widower Benedict Quick (b 1796) left for Australia in 1854:
Do you have any further information on this man?
Assuming that he did, then the death for a Benedict Quick in 1855 would have been the husband of Jane Stevens and a past employee of HM Customs?

Lannanta - yes Benedict Quick widower of Kitty Richards died in Victoria in 1880 at the age of 83.
Daughter Jane wife of George Richards died in Victoria in 1870 age 51. Son Benedict died at Daylesford, Victoria in 1917 age 96. Daughter Sarah Richards wife of John Resuggan died Victoria 1875 age 48. Youngest son John Richards died at Maryborough, Victoria in 1911 age 72.
I have recorded some marriages and offspring in Victoria.
Benedict (husband of Jane Stevens) died at St Ives 18th February 1855 and was buried at Towednack 23rd February 1855.
