I note that there is a baptism in the St Ives baptisms for John, son of Charles and Wilmot Quick on the 30th April 1818, father Charles being a cooper.
First I thought that this was the Charles Quick from 1798 who eventually married three brides, but started much later, his first marriage being in 1838.
Now I believe that this is actually Charles Richards and his wife Wilmot Quick, married 22 Oct 1815 in St Ives. Charles Richards was a cooper also and there is a gap in the baptism of his children, his first child Alice Quick Richards being in June 1816 and the next William Richards in July 1820.
I did note that about 1828 Charles became an innkeeper.
Incidentally, this Wilmot Quick was the daughter of Israel Quick and Catherine Quick, married in 16/4/1781 at Towednack. Wilmot is mentioned in the will of her father Israel and is named as the daughter Wilmot, the wife of Charles Richards

Lannanta - I agree and although I have not seen the original would suggest the possibility that it reads - "John Quick son of Charles and Wilmot". And the next big question - who was Charles RICHARDS? An interesting question given his first two children were named Alice Quick Richards and John Quick Richards! From the 1841 Census he was born between 1787 and 1791 but the only two possibles at St Ives are son of:- 1. Charles RICHARDS m. Elizabeth PAYNTER 2. John RICHARDS m. Sarah PENBERTHY No other really likely candidate outside of St Ives that I can see. So, given John and Alice are not names in Wilmot's immediate family, why did charles use these names for his first two children? CT

CT
I asked myself exactly the same question and my first thought was that I had the wrong Wilmot. But the will of her father set me straight on that account so I can only assume that Wilmot had some attachment to her Aunt Alice.

Maybe - but then where did they get the name John Quick from? Cannot see a John for a couple of generations in Wilmot's family and although I have still not identified Charles Richards I don't think the name comes from that side.
