My husband is descendant from Alfred and Amelia Ellis; they were his grandparents. 24 May 1873 Job Stevens 20 bachelor Fisherman of St. Ives (Father: William Stevens, Fisherman) Mary Eliz. Peters 20 spinster of St. Ives (Father: Richard Peters, Fisherman) My husband, Ronald, left St. Ives in 1957 to settle near Cleveland, Ohio. Alfred and Amelia Ellis were buried at the Barnoon Cemetery in St. Ives. We are trying to learn more about Amelia who died May 15, 1968. She died at the Headlands Nursing home. We could only find a short death notice for her. Amelia Peters Stevens Ellis was baptisted on June 23, 1877, per baptismal records at the St. Ives Primitive Methodist Circuit - 1832-1903 records from the website for www.genuki.org. Her entry is shown as: "daughter of Job and Mary Elizabeth Stevens, Fisherman of Digey". Information about Alfred Ellis: Christening Record: Ellis, Alfred 27 September 1876 West Alvington, Devon, England John Ellis Agnes Hannaford Youlden. Alfred and Amelia Ellis' family included two sons, Alfred and Job. Alfred married Ann Marko, my husband's parents. Alfred and Ann's children were Alfred N. Ellis, Daniel Ellis and my husband, Ronald Ellis. My husband is the only one left living in his immediate family. Would be interested in sharing information about this family. Thank you.
