Yes I agree, a good place to leave it at the moment. I really cannot see an solid answer to this without the intervention of a miracle. ;D

CT Good morning - remember this?? Well the miracle has arrived. The John Quick who died on the 27th September 1837 was a mariner and the 18 year old son of George Quick, a fisherman of St Ives. Unlike the marriage certificate where the father was listed as George, and therefore clearly proved to be unreliable, the informant was present at the death and that informant was the father of John - George Quick, fisherman of St Ives. Lannanta - spit out the humble pie, mate, there is no need for it. We each had valid reasons for our thoughts on this one and one of us had to be right. But it just goes to prove that 'official' documents can be wrong too. At least it is another problem solved. CT
