Hello
Have been away for awhile so have some catching up to do.
To be honest I am not too sure, well I am really but there is one piece of information that creates confusion. In the 1881 census there are three Johns that would fit the age plus a fourth named John Freethy Quick.
By the time the 1891 census comes along two of those Johns disappear. The first John Quick was the husband of his second wife Alice Stevens Curnow. In the 1881 census they had 6 young children but I cannot find any of them in the 1891 census so I assume they have moved away as opposed to a mass demise.
The second John who disappears is the son of John Quick and Elizabeth Berriman. In the 1881 census John is at Penbeagle with his younger sister Ann and his mother Elizabeth. By 1891 mother Elizabeth is living with another son Paul at Penbeagle and John is not to be found (well by me anyway). Later in life both Paul and Elizabeth are buried at Barnoon. Now in the West Briton newspaper near the beginning of February in 1887 the death of John Glasson, farmer of Penbeagle is reported - but his age is given as 37 and not 47. Irrespective of all that I believe that this is your man.
John Quick, born about 1839 at Towednack, son of John Quick and Elizabeth Berriman and grandson of Paul Quick and Ann Baragwanath. Did not marry as far as I am aware.

That would be John s/o John and Elizabeth QUICK bp. 28th April 1839 at Towednack
I have some catching up to do on the Zennor and Towednack families so did not have him in my database.
Will hopefully correct that and get those areas tidied up in the near future.

You can eliminate John Freethy Quick from calculations. According to FreeBMD he died in the Bodmin R.D. in 1909 at the age of 68. Should be able to track him through the Census I reckon. The husband of Alice Stevens CURNOW I believe is the John QUICK recorded in FreeBMD as having died in 1894 at the age of 55. (Penzance R.D.) And he did not disappear! John and Alice and their kids were living at Ayr Hamlet, St Ives in 1891. You will find them in the 1891 Census if you look for John UNICK! ;D So there is another one eliminated. I think there is enough there to prove that you are right Lannanta and that ths grave belongs to the son of John and Elizabeth. CT
