One that I have found, born Cornwall, living elsewhere in 1851.
From the 1841 census I originally had a James and Ann QUICK living at Quay Lane in Lelant - both aged 30. I have never been able to pinpoint them as I assumed the ages were rounded as they most likely were.
Howver, in 1851, there is a James and Ann, both aged 40 years, James, a shoemaker, born in St Ives, and Ann born in Lelant, living in Cambridgeshire. James was the master of a workhouse in Bassingbourn. They also have a 7 year old daughter Ann.
This puts the birth of James at 1811. My nearest match would be James, son of Israel QUICK and Sally RICHARDS.
Your thoughts?

I have had them in my database for quite some time and agree that he was the son of Israel and Sally.
But I cannot find a marriage for them anywhere.
Just had another look at FreeBMD and there are two 'possibles' however none of the Anns listed as possible brides were born in Lelant (or St Ives for that matter).
But I certainly agree on the identity of James.
Daughter Ann is supposed to have been born at St Clement but I don't have any of those records at the moment.
A bit more work needed on this one I think!
