I am trying to rationalise the many notes I have made on this family and reconcile some conflicting interpretations. If anyone has any Wallis(h)s in their tree please let me know - if only so I can eliminate duplicates. Thanks

Lesley....good afternoon. I have a few Wallis' floating around, but goodness knows why...they are just getting in my way and I would be grateful if you could either take them off me or show why the hell I have started collecting them. Firstly...I have 1841 census Humphrey Wallis farmer 20 living with William Mitchell 14 manservant in Boscarne Vean. Secondly....in 1832 there is a record of John Wallish and James Mitchell being indentured to lease a plot of ground in Higher Boscarne to build a chapel (W. Penwith Resources) Thirdly......John Wallis d abt 1742 m Constance Williams They have a son John Wallis B 1721 m Jane Hosken Then they have a son Robert Wallis 1754 - 1836 m Mary (?) Hutchens 1756 - 1829 This couple then have the following daughter Catherine Wallis 1790 son James Wallis 1803 (?) b Madron m Mary Uren daughter Honor Wallis b 1793 Sennen No...on second thoughts, let me keep them. They might come in handy someday like the 16 tins of paint and box of screws in the shed. Tony M Tony

Thanks Roy -Alce was one of the earliest I have come across.. As far as I can make out the Sancreed lot married with the Buryan lot who married backwards and forwards with the St Just lot and they were all called John Thomas or Robert.aaaaggghhh> (with the occasional Nicholas, Francis or Martin. I would dearly love to know who Kenneth, who died at Buryan aged 102, was. There was quite a bit of longevity in the family through the years as well as the usual infant mortality though not too much as some of them were quite well off - where did it all go? not in my direction! Yes Tony - I fear you got the Sennen lot from me - because of the Mitchell-Humphrys connection. The Humphrey you have is connected but not immediately.
