Just a quick query... wasn't sure where to put this one but here goes anyway...! I have two burials registered at the Madron Chapelry, Penzance, for William Davies 20 Feb 1870 and Mary Davies 1875 respectively. Other than proving that they were buried/interred what else can be done with this information re genealogical research. The OPC info gives name, date, age and address. Would there happen to be any other records held at the Chapelry itself?

I would very much doubt it Malcolm and only wish it might be the case. If there was any further information in the PR then the OPC would have it recorded. And there would be only one Register for Burials. From the 'place of residence' you might locate them in the previous Census and find more information or even track down who was living at the same place in the following Census which may be of some help. The one problem with this is that quite often the deceased was residing somewhere else at the time of their demise. I have one woman who, fom memory, was at Madron in the 1841 Census yet when she died in about 1843 she was 'of Zennor'. But even this was helpful as she was then residing with her son-in-law.

Thought as much.... well at least it confirms my belief that William and Mary were of the Wesleyan persuasion which may indicate at least where to look in the respective baptism, marriage registers etc!!!
