What happened to eldest daughter HONOUR?
I already have Thomas as the son of Richard and Honour and I believe there may have been some mention of this family quite some months ago.
Thomas was 'of Lelant' when he married Grace JOHNS as was his brother Richard when he married Thomasin MUNDY.
Back to my initial question regarding daughter Honour.
1851 Census - Minor Lelant
Honor CARLYON, head, mar., 45, wife of tin miner absent, Lelant
John ARTHUR, son, unm., 21, tin miner, Towednack
Honor Jane do., daur., unm., 17, Lelant
Sophia Jane CARLYON, daur., 5, Lelant
Grace QUICK, mother, widow, 70, pauper formerly a miner's wife, Ludgvan
1841 Census - Grace is at Brunnio with son Edward and daughter Anne.
The following two marriages are from the Lelant Online Parish Register Transcripts but I must admit that the second appears a little confusing given it gives the occupation of Honour's father as 'merchant'.
29 November 1827 by banns
John Arthur of this parish
Honour Quick of this parish
Witnesses: Thomas Richards, John Stevens
From FreeBMD:-
John ARTHUR 1839 Penzance R.D. June Qtr Vol 9 Page 140
21 Feb 1840
William Carlyon full age miner Uny Lelant (father: William Carlyon, miner)
Honour Arthur full age widow Uny Lelant (father: Thomas Quick, merchant)
Witnesses: Thomas Richards, Mary Call
These marriages combined with, in particular, the 1851 Census appear to be clear evidence that Honour was the daughter of Thomas and Grace QUICK.
But there is a slight problem - I have been unable to find a baptism for Honour d/o Thomas and Grace QUICK.
And nor can I find a baptism for an Honor JOHNS d/o Grace!
Grace JOHNS 'may' be bp. 19th February 1778 at Ludgvan d/o John and Hannah but I cannot be certain of that.
From here things may get a little messy as I have been so far unable to find Grace QUICK or Honor CARLYON in the 1861 Census.
FreeBMD shows a Death that might be that of the above Honor CARLYON along with another that might be that of the Grace QUICK in question.

More pondering and searching to do I think.
