Right... so how many mistakes have we found on the 1911 census? I know it is only early days and they put it up early and I know it must mindnumbingly boring being a data input clerk for the census, unless you are one of us that is, but yesterday I corrected about half a dozen mistakes, We had a Lydia recorded as Sydia, We had Madron rebaptised as Madison, Likewise Constantine was Gonstanting A Blanche was renamed Blanck, and I have a mysterious ancestor by the name of " Y ". So far the ages have been fairly accurate, but judging by a few others' comments we ought to be a bit careful with what we get from the census... and how much we spend for that information, as I pointed out to the census people, I am paying to fill in their information at this rate. I know, I know, pompous old git comes to mind but someone needs to point out the mistakes! Okay, I'll just get my pipe and slippers now and read the obituaries in the Daily Telegraph said the grumpy old colonel. >
