G'day Basil - and Welcome Aboard!
I have some limited information on your query so let's start from there.
Mostly from IGI as I am yet to confirm things with the Madron Parish Registers for which I think I have recently acquired copies.
John Grenfell and Margaret (Rowe) had seven children that I am currently aware of and the first four were baptised in Madron. Thereafter they seem to have moved on up to Zennor where James, William and Elizabeth Tonkin Grenfell were baptised.
An old contact of mine in Australia (Bessie Warren - now dec'd.) sent me information many years ago that Elizabeth Tonkin Grenfell married a John NEWTON in 1837. This John NEWTON was, apparently bp. at Zennor in 1815 as son of Henry Newton and Elizabeth (nee Phillips).
Mary, daughter of John and Elizabeth Tonkin Grenfell married William Warren in Victoria, Australia, in 1871 and had six children. Bessie was, apparently, daughter of the fifth child, Arthur James Warren.
I have suggested to our Administrator that a couple of more names be added to the 'Surname Interests' section where this can be pursued - Grenfell and Rowe.

I am hopeing that somebody might be able to help me as I have been pulling my hair out for months. My father was cornish and I am trying to trace his ancestors. I have only been doing this for about 2 years so I am really still a rookie, but thought I was doing quite well until my great grandfather decided to disappear on me. Now down to nitty gritty - the surname is Nankervis great grandfather Charles born 1867, married Jane Gribble 1885 had 3 kids, James H, Charles and Annie. All ok until 1901 when he is nowhere to be seen. Census shows Jane still married and I cannot find any death info on him, now I am stuck and don't know where to go. All the family lived and are still living in St Just and Pendeen. I would be gratefull if you would be able to put me on the right track, I do have a lot of info on the Nankervis clan, mind you I think there was a lot of inter breeding going on.

Hi Fifi and welcome. Please request our Administrator to supply a new Surname thread and begin transferring your queries there and I am sure the help will be forthcoming.
I have many Nankervis, Ankervis, Nekerves etc. names in my collection but cannot promise I will immediately find what you are after. However, we have to start somewhere and fresh information brings fresh ideas on where, and how, to look.
I will give you all the help I can and as I am able so look forward to hearing more from you on the main board.

Hello. This is my first message here. I have spoken with Ian Trewhella as we share some antecedants. I have names James, Mann, Jeffery, Warren, as my most recent families to research. I am trying to identify Catherine warren who married John Jeffery in 1838,( both of age,) in Paul. Miriam

Hi Miriam - long time since we were in contact. No time tonight but I will try and look into your query over the next couple of days which (I hope) are completely free from work and other interferences. But it is interesting that you are about the third person recently with an interest in some part of the Warren family.

I would like to welcome a new member to the Board - tassiekiwi. I had not been in contact with him for at least a couple of years but had reason to send an email yesterday regarding some old research we shared. Just 'happened' to let him know what was happening here and invited him to join and - voila! So, a very warm welcome to 'tassiekiwi' and we look forward to your participation.
