Hello to all Cornish cousins! I am your humble administrator and would like to welcome all to the board. I have been researching my Cornish Ancestry for about 25 years now, and have accumulated a fair amount of knowlege of West Cornwall. I hope this can become a place where we can all interract to help each other solve those elusive Conrnish Connections!

Hello Yourself !, With a name of Zenobia you are fairly obviously of Cornish origins I would think. I guess you know Kathie so she may well have mentioned me - I am Ian Trewhella from Australia and have been in contact with Kathie for many, many .... (gap) ... years. (Trewhella? - no connection to Cornwall at all!!!) :-) I reckon we will have more contact from now on but thought I would have another check of the site and see what is happening before I answer my last email of the night and get to bed. No doubt talk to you soon, Ian (Cornish Terrier)

Hello Ian and other members,
Thanks for your invitation to join this Forum. I am the Aussie Cornishpasty researching URENs and many other names. I will read through the Forum sometime today and see what's what. I hope I can help some of you with a few brick walls and maybe you can help me too. I look forward to getting involved here.
Hugs Cornishpasty

Hello!
My name is Becky (Verdon) Koelling, I'm a 'Yank' and my great grandmother was a Trewhella. I've been seriously researching my Cornish roots for about four years now, but I've been interested for many more than that. I started out with a brick wall since we knew nothing about my g-grandma's roots save her name, birthplace (Cornwall - nothing more) and her approximate birthdate!
Thanks to all of you who have thrown me great information along the way here! I've broken through so many brick walls! Genealogists have to be THE most generous folks on earth!

Hi: I have lots of Cornish ancestors and I'm pretty happy to find this site since searching by computer has provided fairly limited results. I have only been researching for a couple years. I live in California and have never been to Cornwall but it looks like a very nice place. I'm glad some of my ancestors could live there. I look forward to exchanging info and am glad to see all the links. --Calswimmer

Glynis - a 'Public' Welcome from the Cornish Terrier. The Forum was initially set up to deal with West Penwith (Cornwall) issues but (I think our Administrator will agree) the West Penwith people did not stay in West Penwith! So - if these areas have something to do with your family who were from WP then I see no reason not to bring them into the equation. There are so many unknown links out there that any little bit of information can help. We have not started a Tonkin line as yet but you will find a few other things of interest which is not bad seeing this Forum has only been going for just over a month!

Glynis - the names you mention suggest a few other 'discussion items' that might be started - Phillips, Mitchell (var.), Thomas and Millett are four that strike me as possibilities. (Especially given I have had some dealings with all four names over the last 'many' years.! ;D Throw a suggestion at the 'Grand Hoggan' (our humble Administrator) whose birthday occurred only a day or so ago!
